The V8 engines of the Shelby model are considered, by the International Association of Automotive Engineers, to be the most powerful block in the world. Many components of the engine were developed from the Ford GT.
Its six-speed manual transmission with uniform gear spacing can withstand the car's power, as it is a transmission tested and proven in races; thus, it works even with ease with this engine, which has a speed limiter that prevents it from exceeding 250 km/h, but in tests, it has reached speeds of up to 320 km/h.
